The 75% population in Guoxing Township is Hakka. When people come to Guoxing, they can experience the strong Hakka culture and restraint. Guoxing has a great potentiality for providing for the aged because the local government has made comprehensive program of living. The Hakka people in Guoxing were from Xin-Zhu, Miao-Li, Zhuo-Lan and Dong-Shi. There are also many Min-Nan people live in Guoxing and that makes Guoxing have a distinctive Hakka culture.
